Michael van Gerwen has not only been knocked out of the 2026 World Matchplay in the second round. His 14-12 defeat to Dirk van Duijvenbode on Tuesday evening in Blackpool also sees him temporarily drop out of the PDC’s world top four, a position he had held for over thirteen years, according to DartsNews.
