Luke Humphries, nicknamed "Cool Hand" (after the 1967 film Cool Hand Luke), was born on 11 February 1995 in Reading, Berkshire, England. He is currently the PDC world number two as of May 2026, with £3.8 million in career PDC prize money.
A former roofer before turning fully professional in 2018, Humphries built a remarkable career before reaching world number one on 3 January 2024 — a position he held for almost two years before being overtaken by Luke Littler in November 2025.
