  • Beau Greaves qualified for European Tour events 11 and 12 at the double qualifier in Leicester.
  • In Budapest, she will become the first woman to compete in a stage of the PDC European Tour.
  • Cristo Reyes, Connor Scutt and Keane Barry also managed to play in both the Budapest and Prague matches.

Beau Greaves has raised the bar once again. On Wednesday in Leicester, the Englishwoman became the first woman to qualify for a PDC European Tour event, before doubling her success on the same day by also securing her place in Prague.

This sends a strong message because it was neither a wildcard nor a protected draw. Greaves went through the Tour Card Holder Qualifiers, following the same path as the other professional players. The result: a place at the Hungarian Darts Trophy, scheduled for 28–30 August 2026 in Budapest, and another at the Czech Darts Open, scheduled for 4–6 September 2026 in Prague.

A qualification that changes Beau Greaves’ status

We’d already been keeping an eye on Greaves for some time, but this day adds a significant chapter to her 2026 season. The 22-year-old had already made her mark on the circuit by becoming the first woman to win a PDC ranking title in April. Now she has confirmed her status in a different context: two European qualifiers in a single day, against Tour Card holders.

The PDC reports that Greaves racked up seven consecutive victories at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester. In the first qualifier, the ET11, she notably beat Andy Boulton and then Tom Bissell, with an average of nearly 103 in her decider against Bissell. In the ET12, she then saw off Wesley Plaisier and Cor Dekker before beating Lukas Wenig in a deciding leg.

The raw score alone tells the story of a fine day’s work. The context, however, reveals a little more: Greaves isn’t just ticking a symbolic box; she’s showing that she can cope with a long day of qualifying, start afresh in a second draw and remain a threat right up to the final leg.

Budapest and Prague will take on a historic significance

The Hungarian Darts Trophy and the Czech Darts Open will therefore not be just two ordinary events for her. In Budapest, Greaves will become the first woman to compete in a PDC European Tour event. A week later, Prague will offer a potential second milestone, with an even more intriguing backdrop given that the first event has already generated anticipation.

The format also gives an idea of the level of competition. At the 2026 European Tour events, the 16 seeds from the PDC world rankings go straight into the second round. The 16 best unprotected players in the ProTour Ranking will then face the 16 qualifiers in the first round. Greaves will therefore not have an easy start: she will immediately come up against an opponent well established in the circuit’s hierarchy.

The other double qualifiers underline the standard of play today

Greaves was not the only one to achieve the double. Cristo Reyes, Connor Scutt and Keane Barry also secured their places in both events. Reyes recorded three averages of over 100, Scutt strung together runs of 103, 99, 102 and then 108 during the Prague qualifier, and Barry survived three matches that went down to the final leg.

Event Qualifiers Tour Card Holders
ET11, Hungarian Darts Trophy Keane Barry, Ritchie Edhouse, Tom Sykes, Maik Kuivenhoven, Adam Leek, Beau Greaves, James Hurrell, Connor Scutt, Samuel Price, Cristo Reyes
ET12, Czech Darts Open Rob Owen, Connor Scutt, Cristo Reyes, Beau Greaves, Jeffrey de Graaf, Stephen Burton, Kim Huybrechts, Callan Rydz, Keane Barry, Mario Vandenbogaerde

There are also a few notable absentees that add some interest to the list. Mike De Decker, Raymond van Barneveld and Peter Wright missed out on both qualifiers, whilst Dave Chisnall failed to make it into the Prague draw. On a day like this, there’s no room for error.

Why this news matters now

Greaves’ performance comes at just the right moment in the story of her season. It doesn’t resolve all the questions surrounding her schedule, her choice of circuit or her long-term trajectory, but it does provide a clear answer on one point: when she enters a highly competitive PDC qualifier, she can play a major role.

For the editorial team, that’s where the interest lies: it’s not just a historic first, it’s a first achieved through the most direct sporting route. The next step will therefore be very practical: to see how Greaves performs in a proper European Tour draw, with the atmosphere, the pace of television coverage and the pressure of an event where she will no longer be merely a curiosity in the draw.
