Ryan Searle

Ryan Searle, born 18 November 1987 in Taunton, England, turned professional in 2007 and has built a steady career on the PDC circuit under the nickname “Heavy Metal”. His walk-on song, “Heavy Metal” by Sammy Hagar, is one of the most distinctive on the tour and has become closely associated with the Somerset thrower.

Searle has collected 7 PDC titles and recorded 3 perfect nine-darters. His victories have come primarily through the ProTour, where his consistent scoring and competitive temperament have produced results across different venues and formats. He has also made multiple appearances at the PDC World Championship, demonstrating durability over a long professional career.

Searle’s game is built on reliable treble 20 scoring and a finishing game that holds up under the pressure of deciding legs. His ProTour record places him among the more productive English players of his generation outside the sport’s absolute elite, with seven titles earned through sustained performances rather than a single breakthrough season.
