Owen Bates

Owen Bates, born on 12 December 2002 in Exeter, England, is one of the most exciting young talents to emerge on the PDC circuit in recent years. Walking on to Cocoon by Catfish & The Bottlemen, Bates began competing at a remarkably young age in 2011 and has already secured three PDC titles alongside two nine-dart finishes — an extraordinary record for a player still in his early twenties.

His two perfect legs at such a young age indicate a natural scorer with a ceiling well above the ProTour average. Bates’ rapid ascent through the PDC ranks reflects a composed temperament and a technical game that belies his age. His three titles demonstrate an ability to perform under pressure and convert chances in a competitive field where many players take a decade to reach comparable results.

Still years away from his peak, Bates represents one of English darts’ most compelling prospects. His combination of youth, three titles, and two nine-darters positions him as a player to watch closely as he continues to mature on the world’s most competitive circuit.
