Max Hopp, born on 20 August 1996 in Werda, Germany, burst onto the international darts scene as a teenage prodigy, winning the PDC World Youth Championship in 2013 at just seventeen. Nicknamed “The Maximiser” and walking on to Hey Baby by DJ Ötzi, Hopp has since claimed two PDC titles and recorded two nine-dart finishes as a senior competitor.
Hopp’s world junior title announced him as the most exciting German darts prospect of his generation, and he successfully navigated the transition from youth champion to consistent senior professional. His two nine-dart finishes confirm the technical quality that has been evident since his teenage breakthrough.
