MARTIN ADAMS

Martin Adams is an English professional darts player affectionately known as “Wolfie”. One of the most accomplished players ever to compete in the BDO format, Adams won the BDO World Championship three times, in 2007, 2010, and 2011. Those three world titles placed him among the elite of the sport and cemented his reputation as one of England’s finest ever darts players. Adams was known for his smooth, controlled throwing style and his ability to maintain focus under the enormous pressure of world championship finals. He accumulated 3 professional titles during his career, though his legacy rests primarily on those three world championship victories. After competing primarily in the BDO structure for much of his career, Adams also had involvement in PDC events. He was a popular figure with darts fans throughout Britain, loved for his friendly personality and down-to-earth approach to the game. As a three-time world champion, his place in darts history is secure. Adams has served as an ambassador for the sport, helping to promote darts at various levels throughout his later career.
