JIM LONG

Jim Long, born on 28 May 1968 in London, Ontario, Canada, is the most successful Canadian darts player of his generation alongside the legendary John Part. Walking on to Shout by The Isley Brothers, Long turned professional in 1988 and has spent nearly four decades competing, accumulating two PDC titles while remaining the pre-eminent representative of North American darts on the international PDC circuit.

Long’s longevity is his most distinguishing feature: competing from 1988 into the modern era, he has seen the sport transform around him while continuing to produce competitive results. His two titles reflect a professional who has mastered the discipline and consistency required to win on the PDC floor, even as a competitor from a country where darts has never enjoyed the same cultural infrastructure as in the United Kingdom or the Netherlands.
