Alexander Merkx

Alexander Merkx, born on 20 March 1994 in Hapert, Netherlands, is a regular Dutch competitor on the PDC ProTour. Walking on to Happy Together by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Merkx turned professional in 2003 and has built a consistent career of two PDC titles — a record that reflects the high standard required just to win on a circuit that is disproportionately stacked with Dutch talent.

Competing without a nine-dart finish, Merkx’s game is defined by its reliability and its structured approach to match play. Winning two titles on the PDC ProTour as a Dutch competitor is a genuine achievement given the depth of domestic competition he must overcome: the Netherlands consistently produces some of the world’s elite players, making every ProTour final a potential encounter with world-class opposition.

As a product of the Dutch darts system, Merkx represents the productive middle tier of a nation that punches consistently above its weight in the sport. His two career titles confirm a player who has earned his place on the circuit through sustained competitive performance.
